Q: So what's next?
A: The most important thing for me when choosing my next project
is my passion for the script. If I don't connect with the script then
it's not going to hold my interest for the time it will take to make
the film. In light of this, I'm focusing on developing a slate of my
ideas at the moment, three more shorts and a feature idea. The short
films consist of 'Clause #I 87', a black comedy set in the world
of advertising; a European story 'Sekaci', a contemporary fairytale
set in Prague and an adaptation that I'm still trying to secure the
right's to. My feature idea is a psychological horror film called
'Hidden' about a mother whose missing 10-year old son returns one
night without explanation. He is unharmed but now unable to speak.
She must uncover 9 what happened to her son before it completely
steals his sanity. It's really based around the central question
of 'what would you do if you knew your child had been harmed by somebody
or something but you couldn't protect him because he was unable to
speak to let you know' which would be any parent's nightmare. I will
be working with the writer, Hazel B Cameron, on the script over the
next 18 months to two years after which I will be looking to get
the film made.
